LinkedIn recently introduced its Premium Company Page in a move that went largely unnoticed until TechCrunch featured the update. This new offering provides small and medium businesses with sophisticated tools aimed at enhancing visibility, deepening engagement, and optimizing content with AI technologies.

In a quiet move that initially flew under the radar, LinkedIn began detailing its new Premium Company Page offering on its platform over a week ago, garnering little notice until TechCrunch broke the story.

Designed to provide small and medium businesses with advanced tools, the Premium Company Page aims to boost visibility and deepen engagement. It also optimizes content through sophisticated AI technologies.

However, is the cost worth the features? And how can they be used to boost your recruitment marketing strategies? Read on to find out.

LinkedIn Premium Company Page Features

Here’s a summary of the key features for the new paid LinkedIn Premium Company Pages:

  • Custom Call-to-Action (CTA) Button: Allows businesses to add a custom CTA button such as “Visit website” or “Contact us” at the top of their Page, within LinkedIn feed posts, and in search results, driving prospects to take desired actions.
  • Who’s Visited My Page: Enables viewing of LinkedIn members who visited your Page each week, allowing you to view their profile details or invite them to follow your Page.
  • Custom Testimonials: Builds credibility and trust by showcasing a client testimonial with a quote and an image or company logo at the top of the Page.
  • AI-Powered Post Writing Assistance: Saves time and increases engagement by optimizing content through AI, enhancing notes and ideas into well-crafted first drafts of posts.
  • Auto-invite Engaged Members to Follow Your Page: Extends the invite-to-follow option beyond first-degree connections, allowing for automated invites to any LinkedIn member who has engaged with your content.
  • LinkedIn Premium Logo: A gold LinkedIn ‘IN’ logo appears at the top right of your Page header, signifying a Premium Company Page subscription and helping your Page stand out.

LinkedIn Premium Company Page Pricing and Availability

The Premium Company Page service starts at $99 per month, with LinkedIn offering tiered pricing to accommodate various business needs and budgets. The rollout is currently underway and companies interested in upgrading can sign up to harness these new features.

Are Premium Company Pages Worth the Cost?

While these additions are welcome, do they warrant the cost? Similar functionalities—such as customizable CTAs and testimonials—are available for free on other social networks like Facebook and Instagram.

However, this feature can be very valuable for talent acquisition—depending on the button options available. If it includes a “View Jobs” option or is truly customizable, it could be a useful feature to attract top talent and further your company page as a recruiting tool.

Likewise, the ability to see views is already offered to personal profiles through Sales Navigator. This feature is just as valuable for company pages, but it should have been offered long ago and doesn’t feel very impressive by comparison.

The real value comes from the ability to auto-invite engaged users and the AI Writing Assistant.

Premium Page Auto-Invites

Many tools already exist that can send automated connection requests and LinkedIn messages—as you’re well aware if you’re LinkedIn inbox looks anything like mine. However, LinkedIn is notoriously strict with its API integrations and has only offered things like post scheduling, commenting and liking, and ad campaign management.

Owning the use of this feature and only offering it through the paid Premium Company Page is a smart move by LinkedIn and a valuable feature for companies.

Recruiters can automatically invite users who like or comment on posts about job openings or company news to increase their reach and engagement with interested candidates.

AI-Powered Writing Assistant

The value of this feature will be determined by its purpose and training. If it is simply another generic AI author, there are less expensive tools like ChatGPT and Claude, which both offer free options as well.

The writing assistant will need to be specifically trained and developed for what LinkedIn knows its algorithm, as well as potential hires, want to see in your posts. It should be finely tuned to generate content that aligns with your brand and services.

Bonus points if it has the ability to crawl your previous job posts and assist in creating engaging job descriptions.

Ultimately, the value of LinkedIn’s Premium Company Pages will depend on specific recruitment needs and budget constraints. While some features offer novel conveniences, recruiters should weigh these against the availability of similar tools on other platforms and consider whether the investment aligns with their strategic goals.
