Chuck Solomon: Hey, Alfons, how are you today?
Alfons Staerk: I’m very good, thank . How are you doing?
Chuck Solomon: I’m doing well. I, I am, I’m a little bit jealous. I learned that you’re in Bozeman, Montana, and that’s one of my favorite places. So I’ve only, I’ve only been once, but I’ve hoped to get back there. You’re in definitely in an outdoor playground.
Alfons Staerk: It, it definitely is. And
actually it is summer now. We had winter until three weeks ago. We had spring for about two days, but now it’s nice and warm and I just love it.
Chuck Solomon: Yeah, it’s gorgeous. I had, I totally forget the name of the
restaurant. It was like a brewery that they served the best chicken sandwich there.
I totally forget the name of it, but we liked it so much. We actually went back two days in a row and got the same exact thing. So that’s how I, that’s how I remember Bozeman is this chicken sandwich and I wish I remembered the name of the brewery. But it was the beer was pretty good too. But I remember that chicken sandwich,
Alfons Staerk: so if it, if it comes back to let me know. I will, I will check it out.
Chuck Solomon: Yeah, for sure. Before we get started, can you share with listeners a little bit about yourself and your current role at your current company?
Alfons Staerk: Absolutely. So my name is Alfons Staerk. I’m currently senior director for recruiting technology and candidate experience at BCG, Boston Consulting Group. And in that role, I’m, I’m basically overseeing all the technology we use within the recruiting process. So the ats, the CRM assessment tools, candidate experiences that we build on our own, on top of that and, and the whole portfolio that recruiters are using. I’ve been, I’ve been around the block for quite a while.
