Andreas speaks to Paul Toms, our Founder, at a time when he’s looking back on the past year and feeling well-prepared to tackle the challenges that 2021 presents him with, both personally and professionally. Andreas has found that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught him and his management team a lot, resulting in great improvements in the way the organisation manages its people.
After a 25-year career in Finance, Andreas explains the reasons that his role as a Chief Financial Officer both motivate and challenge him. He has a strong approach to leadership, which enables his whole team to align their focuses, and remain accountable and responsible for their actions.
Paul finds out what Andreas’ approach to recruiting a good team is, with some great advice for anyone looking to create a high performance team and prevent failed hires. We discuss the unique hiring process in Switzerland and offer some tips for other CFOs who are expanding their teams.
