There’s no doubt about it, social media has become an essential tool for recruitment. When you think of social recruiting, LinkedIn automatically comes to mind. Sure, LinkedIn is the most popular social channel used for talent acquisition. According to Jobvite’s 2020 Recruiter Nation Report, 72% report using or plan to use it for recruitment.

However, having a Facebook social media strategy for recruitment is close behind in popularity (60%). One in three recruiters cited Facebook as a source that provides high quality candidates

In addition to having its own job search feature, Facebook provides endless opportunities for employer branding. I thought it might be helpful to highlight a few examples from companies that have integrated Facebook into their recruitment marketing strategies.

Here Are 9 Companies With Top-Notch Recruitment Marketing Strategies on Facebook

1. Heroes Work Here

2. Promoting Referrals

We all know how important referrals are for talent acquisition. Amdocs takes it to Facebook to explain its reward program with a fun and informative video. This is a great way to attract potential employees who can benefit from the program and remind current employees too!

3. Share Awards

When your company is nominated or wins awards, your Facebook page is a great place to share the news. NBCUniversal recently shared an exciting win along with a peek at their employee culture to show why they deserved that recognition.

4. Highlighting Employees

BMC Software interviews their employees and shares a brief profile of them on Facebook. How awesome is that? Think of the impact for those potential candidates researching BMC as an employer. It allows job seekers to picture themselves working there too.

6. Facebook Events

Whether your company is attending recruitment events or hosting your own job fairs, why not let everyone know where you will be and when you will be there? Allied Universal has a great example of a full calendar of events on their Facebook careers page.

7. Job Search Apps

In addition to Facebook’s built-in job board, some companies integrate their pages with apps such as CareerArc, Work4Labs, Jobvite and ATS platforms. These applications create a more seamless connection between Facebook and applicant tracking systems.

8. Employee Photos

A photo is worth a thousand words, isn’t it? DaVita uses Facebook to share photos of employees working, volunteering and more. Facebook posts are one of the best ways to showcase your company culture without saying much at all!

9. Dynamic Videos

How about using video to give job seekers a deeper look at what’s important to your company? Netflix shared a video of co-CEO Reed Hastings sharing his top lessons learned over the years.
